As a retired firefighter, paramedic, and fire inspector, I have been in my fair share of assisted living centers. After 25 years of service, one develops an eye for these types of facilities. Having toured a plethora of the local higher-rated facilities, we settled on Aravilla Sarasota for my mother-in-law. By far, the quality of care observed, the positive reports from the residences themselves, and the overall management/supervision exceed anything else we have seen. I can usually find at least one violation or deficiency but not here. Aravilla Sarasota was very transparent, which should be considered another positive attribute. If your loved one needs assisted living or memory care, I would highly recommend taking a hard look at Aravilla. Murray Miller

My wife is an employee at Aravilla (Sarasota). We are also the live in caretakers for my 85 year old mother who is a Hospice patient with Dementia & congestive heart failure. During this time of crisis with hurricane Ian, the owners opened their facility (a Cat. 5 Rated Shelter) to employees and their family. The hospitality, generosity & security I have felt during the last few days has been a heart warming & humbling experience. I have worked in ACLF'S that were severely substandard. It's not the amenities that make a facility like that... it's the administration & staff. Aravilla is professionally operated & owned by men & women with a heart for the matter. We looked for an assisted living facility for several months when a family friend referred us to someone familiar with senior living. She provided us a list, and at the top was Aravilla of Sarasota. By far, this was the most active of the communities we had visited. It is different from other places we had seen. The people that lived there were friendly, enthusiastic, and even engaged us in conversation. Even patients in the Memory Care unit were active and also spoke highly about this place. This was something that we had not seen. Thus far, everything is going flawlessly with the move-in. If you are looking for assisted living or memory care in the Sarasota area, I would highly recommend checking this place out. Rosalie McDonnell

My Dad and I love Aravilla! We had visited often before this pandemic, and were pleased with how they strive for a happy, active, fun lifestyle for all the residents, and it is such a beautiful, new facility. The staff is wonderful and work very hard to handle the daily challenges, especially during COVID 19. My Dad really enjoyed the daily live music, and it will be amazing to resume that, post pandemic. My father in law passed away June 6th under hospice care in the Aravilla senior living facility, after living there for the past two years. My wife and I found the place extremely accommodating. It has a great atmosphere, and the management and staff are all we could have asked for. We have experience with senior living facilities in both Michigan and Florida, and beyond a doubt, this is by far the best we've dealt with.
